Curriculum Intent, Implementation and Impact

At St Michael's we work hard to tailor the National Curriculum to meet each individual’s needs. Our curriculum is based on the National Curriculum. All year groups follow the National Curriculum in its entirety.

We supplement the National Curriculum with our St Michael's Curriculum.

The intent of our curriculum is to produce children who are engaged, enthused and keen to learn.  We believe that the impact of this will lead to good levels of progression and ultimately happy, confident children.

A detailed explanation of our curriculum including its intent, implementation and impact can be found here.

Our personal development and cultural capital offer are hugely important to us.

Individual areas of the curriculum

Children in the Foundation Stage follow the EYFS requirements for planning and delivering the curriculum. The long term plan of the foundation stage is the bedrock on which the rest of our curriculum is planned.

For further information about each individual subject please head to the Learning section of the website.

Recovery Curriculum

During the 2020/21 academic year we ran a successful recovery curriculum.  This plan can be found here

Remote learning provision

If and when needed we will use the Oak National Academy
