The Withams
In The Withams' class we aim to build and expand on the knowledge and understanding achieved in former years. Questioning and enquiry is at the heart of our learning capitalising on children’s wonderful capacity to ask why? Learning is personalised to meet the needs of each individual child but also fosters teamwork and independence. The National Curriculum objectives are explored through creative topics which are often chosen by the children themselves in order to maximise motivation and interest. The skills we develop are geared towards preparation for Year 6 and transition to secondary school hence the children become successful autonomous learners with the critical skills-set to pose probing questions and have a love of learning.
