We believe that accessing the great outdoors is vital for children and supports their physical and spiritual development as well as much more!
As a result of this, outdoor learning plays a huge part in our school lives. The outdoor learning at St Michael's takes on 4 elements. These elements include an ongoing outdoor passport based on outdoor experiences, outdoor projects which last the length of topics bringing them to life, gardening taught by our resident gardener and specific lessons which are taught outdoors linking directly to the National Curriculum.
Learning outside of the the class encapsulates using the school grounds, working in the village, activities at Whisby and school trips.
Please ensure that your child has wellies in school at all times.
