Swimming

Each year we will offer swimming to Year 2 during the summer term.  The class will swim for 6 weeks.  The cost of swimming is £6.00 per session. Cheques to be made payable to Lincolnshire County Council.

During the Autumn term, we will also take children in Key Stage 2 who cannot swim 25 metres competently and cannot perform vital life saving skills.

The National Curriculum requirements for swimming and water safety are as follows:

• swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres
• use a range of strokes effectively
• perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations.

100% of our previous Year 6 have met this requirement. (June 2023)
