At St Michael's we work hard to tailor the National Curriculum to meet each individual’s needs. Our curriculum is based on the National Curriculum. All year groups follow the National Curriculum in its entirety.
We supplement the National Curriculum with our 'St Michael's Curriculum'. The St Michael's Curriculum includes different aspects of learning including Outdoor Learning, International issues, performance, gardening, STEM, enterprise and Lego.
Through the addition of the St Michael's curriculum we feel that we are able to develop the whole rounded child with focusing on personal, social and emotional development.
The intent of our curriculum is to produce children who are engaged, enthused and keen to learn. We believe that the impact of this will lead to good levels of progression and ultimately happy, confident children.
Children in the Foundation Stage follow the EYFS requirements for planning and delivering the curriculum.
Religious Education is planned and delivered from the Lincolnshire agreed syllabus. School is now part of the Developing Christianity project and this is also being taught in school. Spiritual Development is a key aspect of our curriculum...our understanding can be explored here Spiritual Development at St Michael's 2020-21
